Our Mission

At The Orchards, We Care for Minds, Bodies, and Souls

Tradition of Excellent Care.

For over the last sixty years, The Orchards has continued the traditional values inspired by the Fox Family: respect for one another, concern for each resident’s well-being, and encouragement of individual interests and enjoyment of life’s pleasures.

These values are a gift The Orchards staff members share every day with residents and each other. The Fox Family has continued to operate The Orchards as a place where seniors can age with grace and dignity.

The campus is designed for senior’s needs, while the buildings offer a beautiful stylish, yet comfortable environment indoors.

The Fox family has been caring for seniors since 1952, we care for minds, bodies and souls.

The History Of The Orchards

We first entered into the senior health care field in 1952 with the establishment of the Fox Nursing Home, located in downtown Chester, West Virginia. It remained at that location until its replacement was built in 1985 at its current site overlooking Chester.

In 1997, we opened The Pepperberry Suites, adding assisted living services to the already existing Stone Pear Pavilion, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

In 2009, The Tree House, Child Care and Development Center opened. With the enhancements and additions to the facility, The Orchards at Foxcrest now offers a full continuum of care.

In 2004, The Peachtree Inn, Independent Living Community was added.

In 2009, The Tree House, Child Care and Development Center opened. With the enhancements and additions to the facility, The Orchards at Foxcrest now offers a full continuum of care.

The Orchards Rehab Suites enhances our continuum of care for the post acute and long term care populations, by providing daily intensive rehabilitation services, in state of the art private suites, resulting in quicker recovery.
