Since 1952, three generations of The Fox family have synergistically centered their work around caring for minds, bodies, and souls- providing elite healthcare services to the tri-state area. The Fox Family has continued to operate The Orchards as a place where seniors can age with grace and dignity, honoring the Fox Family values: respect for one another, concern for each resident’s well-being, encouragement of individual interests, and enjoyment of life’s pleasures. The organization’s CEO, Scott Fox carries these traditions into today’s changing industry.

The Fox family entered into the senior health care industry in 1952 with the establishment of Fox Nursing Home, offering a pleasant, home-like atmosphere to area residents in need of convalescent services. It was James and Vergie Fox who opened the doors of their home in Chester, West Virginia and began caring for Mr. Fox’s ailing mother; subsequently, word of mouth traveled, leading others to come seeking the same kind of care. The Foxes both decided to quit their jobs and devoted the rest of their lives to running the nursing home.
